The Healing You Never See Coming

I began writing with the goal of reaching others—to encourage people to support their loved ones through grief. I wanted readers to understand that grief isn’t linear, and even when it feels like no progress is being made, something meaningful is happening beneath the surface. I aimed to provide helpful tips and prepare readers for the unexpected challenges that may arise.

What I didn’t anticipate was how healing the writing process would be for me. Writing allows you to process your own emotions. That seemingly small idea, when explored, contextualized, and shaped for the benefit of someone else, becomes a vessel for your own healing. When writing for others, even complaints don’t end as complaints—they evolve into solutions. And in crafting those solutions for your readers, you often find healing for yourself as well.
