Living Fully, Writing Boldly — Valerian Vanessa Nandujja

Valerian Vanessa Nandujja is many things — a God-lover, a proud Ugandan, a chemist and analyst, a leader of young people, a creative mind, and a determined young businesswoman. One of her greatest fears is to live an unlived life, and by God’s grace, she’s committed to pouring herself fully into her calling.

Her writing journey began in 2024 when she joined Word Weaver Africa as a book editor. Over the year, she discovered a troubling reality — too many people leave this world with their wisdom, experiences, and testimonies untold. This ignited in her a passion to help others share their stories, whether through editing or writing. It also awakened her own desire to write, leading to the release of her first book, Nurturing Thanksgiving Everyday, and the upcoming launch of her second.

Interestingly, writing wasn’t her formal background. Her first book was birthed as a requirement for the School of Leadership and Ministry at Harvest Institute. Its inspiration came from a defining season in 2023, when after completing her final semester at university, she chose to remain at church to learn about ministry instead of returning home. The decision caused tension with her parents, particularly her mother, who stopped speaking to her.

With no financial or emotional support, she found herself trapped in constant complaints — until a friend challenged her to practice gratitude. That shift changed everything. She began to intentionally give thanks, and doors of provision, restoration, and personal growth opened. In time, her relationship with her parents was fully mended.

Her book draws from her personal experiences, biblical examples, and the teachings of Apostle Moses Mukisa to show that thanksgiving is not just a good habit — it’s a supernatural tool. Readers have shared how the book transformed their perspectives, proving that gratitude has the power to change lives. Through her writing, Valerian offers practical, heartfelt guidance on cultivating thanksgiving daily — toward God and toward others — and in doing so, she is helping people live their lives more fully, just as she has chosen to live hers.
