Snare Jobs

This book, Snare Jobs: When Work Becomes a Trap, is not an attack on employment. Work is not evil. In fact, from the beginning of creation, God gave man the responsibility to work. Adam was assigned the task of tending the Garden of Eden before the fall. Therefore, work is part of God’s design. It gives us a sense of purpose, a way to contribute to society, and a means through which God provides for us and others. However, like anything that is not kept in its proper place, work can become a false god. This book is a prophetic warning and a spiritual wake-up call to believers who have unknowingly bowed to the altar of careerism. It is a call to recognise when a job—though outwardly successful, well-paying, or socially respectable—is inwardly draining, spiritually numbing, or outright misaligned with the will of God for your life. It’s a call to discernment in a culture that shouts, “Secure the bag!” but whispers, “Sell your soul.”
