“Impacting lives with Christian literature”

He Calls Me Mama

For ten years, Doris and her husband Julius prayed and waited for a child, and while they waited, the enemy tested their marriage; the winds blew them left and right, but they held on to the promises of God about their marriage and the fruit of the womb.

Doris and Julius each share their “side” of the story in this compelling tell-all book about the things couples struggle with in marriage and never openly want to talk about, especially the issue of infertility.

We hope that through this book your marriage will be strengthened in the knowledge that God’s purpose for us is to live fulfilled lives as couples, as individuals, as women and as men in spite of the circumstances or challenges that may come our way.

Thank You for this “unputtable down” book; I read every bit of it
including the foreword, the preface, the contents and even skimmed thru the appendix!!! All in one sitting!!! Real life where I could totally relate! Thank You for the strength to write about this ‘hush hush’ subject. Truly inspirational, showing the power of God in our lives. May you be blessed abundantly for this. Keep writing… we are here to devour your work!

I read the book and I was so excited to see yet another miracle in our generation! Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever more.
Thank you Dorris for writing this book. It is a great resource not only for those in waiting but those who want to understand their loved ones on the same waiting journey🙏🏾 I read your book and it was such a balanced record of the father-in-waiting as well as mother-in-waiting. Most books detail the excruciating pain the ladies go through but yours gave us the rare perspective of a strong but hurting man. Now when I pray for couples, I also pray for the men because they are just as stigmatized and traumatized as the ladies, just less vocal about this.

What a beautiful story! A real testimony of the power of Scripture in whatever situation one finds themselves in. Society is often unkind to couples facing infertility and this book gives us a glimpse into their world teaching us that there’s usually more than meets the eye…so…Be kind.

You have touched a topic that many run away away from and yet it is a couse for division in families. Infertility is a stigma especially to men but we thank God for you and your husband for opening up to build families. Stay blessed.

This book will encourage not only couples struggling with infertility & other issues in their marriages, but also anyone facing different challenges in life not to lose hope. For with God at the centre, it’s only a matter of time before light bursts forth and a new day dawns.

I have read this book 3 times .I am so impressed by how Doris put this true story of her personal life altogether. The book has several lessons and my main highlight was how married partners can struggle to get children each on their own and fear to tell the other what they are going through.
There is a day Julius secretly went and got herble medicine which almost took his life. I recommend everyone to read this book.

How could perseverance, love and trust in God be demonstrated better than in the book “He calls me Maama.”

How can love be demonstrated more, you inspire me.
