I am a Ugandan female advocate, born on 1st February, 1977 from Moyo District located in the West Nile region of Uganda. I am a married woman and also a mother to children.
I obtained my bachelor of laws degree (with honours) from Makerere University, Kampala in 2002. I was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice by Law Development Centre, Kampala in 2003. Additionally, I have a Master of Arts Degree in Peace & Conflict Studies from Makerere University awarded in 2012. I was awarded a diploma in ‘Youth & Democracy Program by MS- Denmark in 2000
In 2004 I started work as a State Attorney with Office of Directorate of Public Prosecutions in Uganda and went on to do many other jobs. I now have over 20 years of diverse working experience including in Government department. I also worked in several international organizations doing both humanitarian and development work in Uganda in technical and senior management positions.
I have also worked in private company and done private consultancies.
I am passionate about justice, human rights, women’s protection and empowerment, children’s rights and protection especially among the vulnerable groups of people in the community. I believe in a world where everyone is accorded opportunity to unlock their full potential, succeed in life and make a useful contribution to society.
I have learnt a lot from my years of work experience and developed several skills including excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, management skills, training skills, report writing skills, computer skills, conflict resolution/ peace building skills, to mention but a few. I believe in doing my best in all engagements that I am involved in and making the world a better and happier place for everyone to live in.
