Recognising, Celebrating & Promoting Quality in Christian Authorship in Africa
I’m Nompumelelo Diko-Kalimashe from South Africa, a Writer/ Author of the two published books for the poetry. I love the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal saviour. I am a Preacher, Poet, life coach , the leader of the board at the Church. I also enjoy community work as I always help different kinds of people like visiting the pensioners some are bed ridden and some are no longer attending any church service. I also help children that are without identity documents due to their broken families. Some are without food we visit them with my husband and help them through whenever there’s a need. I started Sunday School services so as to help the young ones with the word , life lessons etc. We got motivated by the ACABA children whereby we saw them writing their own stories and books so we are in that path by the grace of God. I also do decorations and sometimes churches are not always having means to pay, so I offer a hand to them. I even ventured to podcast with my daughter whereby we were trying to expand the kingdom of God through Christ as a spoken word. I mean both the written down work and the spoken one . I also do Storytelling and I was nominated in Nigeria this year but I was unavailable for the last performance due to our poor network. I starred drama and acting this year and I also organize youth to develop their skills also to identify each and every skill that the Lord instilled. Thanks.
“Impacting lives with Christian literature”
Getting grey is a book which is made up of life general, I mean everything concerned, be it good or bad not leaving behind the Creator of the whole Universe. There are motivational poems that gives hope tothe hopeless. Love poems speaking out loud the importance of love as our father God himselfis love. Some are encouraging people who might be overwhelmed with so many things and others are having the mind battle. Meaning the batle of background negatively. I mean pressures of life that lead one to do crime or sin. Some other people it’s so easy to do, than doing those that one needs or must do. Same applies to the Xhosa poems which is Bhinq’Omfutshane is full of motivation and uplifting, saying no matter your background is bad or was once unbecoming but through this grace, the grace of God that is sufficient for us all. You can down trodden so my both books are stipulating such matters.
