Patrick kulati has always been a prolific writer since his youth. His ardent lectiophile appetite has enhanced his writing ability, broadened his horizons and deepened his depth of substance. The said ability could be seen in the speeches he penned and equally, the respect he has had for his audience could also be seen in the meticulous expressive writing. A Gap in the cloud is a culmination of all those years’ efforts of writing. I found myself recommending the said book as a potent serum for our emotional burdens.

What a book. Life experiences. Long before he wrote the book, he declared that if he survives the cancer scare, He will dedicate his life working for God. God healed him and the book is the testimony to his resolution. Get the book and you will be motivated to pursue your dreams, you will rise from sick bed and you will be full of spiritual nourishment. we need more writers like Mr Kulati. Thank you and may God bless him

This is very practical book that teaches about living a Christ centred life during tough times. Its content is diverse in terms of touching on social , political and political and health issues that we face in life as people and black Africans in particular. The book balances a well researched theory , practical experiences ( good and painful with some humour ) of the writer. I regard the book as a guide or toolkit as it offers practical steps on how to handle health and family challenges. I was inspired by the sis Nowethu story that demonstrates Spirit of Ubuntu. Also teaching that our “ hacked legacy” must not define our our future but reveal Gods power in us. In conclusion, chapter 5 was an apex of abundant life of faith , resilience and Hope in God. Well done brother Kulathi for this jewel wise counsel and inspiration.

“A Gap in the Cloud”
I have cried, laughed and got angry in the process of reading the book because I could relate to some stories the author shared.
I cried because of the sad stories about his life that he poured out his heart when sharing them.
I enjoyed your book big time, I mean i was glued and determined to finish the book. In some chapters (especially the ones talking a lot about how your leadership role played out in the workplace when the company was closing down) I was tempted to skip but for discipline purposes I told myself I’m going read every word you have written. Author is very good at paying attention to details and I like that.
I have learnt a lot from the book, Most importantly I was encouraged to look for a gap in the cloud in my current life situations I’m facing.
I recommend this book with confidence because I have read every chapter and every page. It being his first, I have to say it’s a powerful book.

This book is a beautiful illustration of what God means when He says ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’ in Jeremiah 29:11. From the struggles that prepped the clay, the career & work challenges and life threatening disease that the author endured, God always opened ‘A Gap in the Cloud’ for him, He always had a plan to prosper him.
I’m glad he decided to share this insightful and inspiring story with all of us, and wish him all the best as he continues to encourage and inspire the nation.

This is a warm hearted book. It offers hope in the face of suffering and pain. It displays and magnifies God’s Grace for a sinner.
I like the writing style. It’s a curious mixture of autobiography and life skills.

The book is a practical testimony of a living man who takes us through his own most fierce life challenges and in that he searches for what and whereabouts of the God his always trusted. With all the calamities he went through, the book encourages the Reader of a silver lining on every dark cloud, a GAP in every cloud.
It’s a great personal revelation of how God came through for the Author and the same God can still show up for us today.

Great and authentic story of a church elder who weaved his faith into his personal and professional crises. I was there when he walked through the valleys of his life. I saw a young resilient Christian family walk through the shadows boldly and courageously. Incredible journey and audacity!
The book is creating waves in academia and ordinary lives.
I support this book and author nomination for inspiring and giving hope to many in their dark experiences. The book will prepare many for their crucibles and trying moments.

I enjoyed reading this well written book and recommend it to everyone. As the author takes us through his journey and how he learnt to find gaps in the clouds, he also equips, encourages and inspires his readers to apply this in their own lives. This is a book that enriches and empowers the reader. It remains the best birthday gift I’ve ever received!

A gap in the cloud , a book that took me back to my life history especially reminding me of a God of second and many more chances , I enjoyed reading this book because it compelled me for action , seeing what God can do ,made me realise that He who has begun a good work in us will complete it Himself irrespective of challenges one may go through
