Simphiwe Kanityi is the Presiding Pastor of The Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa – Living Waters Miracle Centre. He is the visionary founder of Real Men of Direction (ReMeDi), a movement dedicated to empowering and celebrating men, with a particular focus on addressing the crisis of fatherlessness.
He is also the author of the best-selling book, “In Pursuit of My Father,” which has been widely recognized and included in the libraries of schools under the Department of Education and various university libraries across South Africa.
In addition to his pastoral and literary work, Simphiwe is a seasoned entrepreneur, serving as Director of companies such as Xorroh Co (Pty) Ltd and Chana Events and Communications, an agency specialising in Christian content and events aimed at empowering the Church.
With more than 20 years of experience in the media industry, he has worked across print, radio, social media, and television, holding key roles such as Head of News at Rhodes Music Radio and News Producer at eNCA.
Simphiwe is a dynamic speaker on matters related to family life, relationships, and marriage. He also serves as a Relationship Coach and Marriage Counselor. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Theology from Global University, Springfield, Missouri, USA, and The AFM of SA Seminary, as well as a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree in Journalism and Media Studies and Anthropology, and a Bachelor of Social Sciences Honours Degree in African Language Studies, both from Rhodes University.
Above all, Simphiwe Kanityi is a devoted husband, a proud father of two, and a passionate, born-again child of God.

In Pursuit of My Father is a book that seeks to break the silence on the topic of Fatherlessness. The author gives an account of his life growing up without a father and the impact it had on his life. Both men and women can benefit from reading this book. Set up in the South African context but the fatherlessness pandemic is a global disease.
