The Journey to Celebration: Faith, Perseverance, and Victory – Dr. Shupikai Daniel Matematema

Celebration message
Celebrations are done after succeeding a feat, overcoming obstacles, winning or coming out on top and reaching certain milestones in life.

Preceding celebrations is a plan which oftentimes seems unrealistic, promises that keeps you going, problems that causes pain, pressure that stretches you to the limits, patience that develops you to maturity and people that will stand with you sacrificially through their resources to make sure the feat has been established and victory is attained.

Just being nominated in the leadership and Christian living categories was a testimony on its own considering my life journey of faith and what God had said before having gone through many tragedies and situations that almost made me lose my life.

God saved my life and I was able to write books as he enabled and empowered me. I did not hesitate to submit two of my books when I came across ACABA Kenya page.
The day I saw it, I inquired about submissions and I was told that they were only two days to the closing date of submissions. I did everything in my power to submit before the entries were closed.

Upon submission I was incorporated into the group with other seasoned authors who shared their unique journeys as authors.
Fast forward to the day of the awards in Uganda. I had a strong conviction that God was going to birth something in Uganda which was more than just winning awards.
I was able to share or network with esteemed authors from different countries.
When the time of awards presentation come, I got so emotional when I received first the leadership category award as I had to reflect on my life Journey. I left the stage shaking only to be made numb when I had my name being called for the overall content of the year award. I couldn’t stand and cried.

My fellow authors came to help me stand and escorted me to the podium. I really felt the support and love . While on the stage I felt strength that came upon me and the way I left the stage was not the way I went there.
I strongly believe that the way we came to Uganda was not the way we went back and something shifting or changed in the atmosphere.

I am forever grateful to God for the ACABA family for obeying God to come up with such a program that recognizes, rewards and gives credibility to authors while spreading the gospel through story telling.

Allow me to thank all who have had input in my life directly and indirectly. I humbly acknowledge that without the sum total contribution of many whom I cannot mention name by name because of scarcity of time and space, I would not have made it this far of which I am grateful.

To my wife, family, friends, Pastors, church family, ACABA family, Directors, coordinators, judges, sponsors and fellow authors who were present in Uganda and those who could not make it, I am grateful and thank you for the sacrifice and tremendous contributions you made to make the celebration in Uganda a reality.

Above all, I thank God and give Him all the glory for making it come to pass and my fellow authors who are unique in their domains and are being used by God to bring transformation, restoration and hope. ( You are all winners and champions in your own right)

let me retaliate, before the celebration, there is a PLAN, PROMISE, PROBLEMS, PAIN, PRESSURE, PATIENCE , PEOPLE AND PROMOTION…
