From the heart of Mombasa, Kenyan author Nessy W. Asega shares her debut work Emerge – Power Inside, a raw and faith-filled blend of personal testimony, biblical insight, and life lessons forged in the fires of adversity.
Nessy’s story begins in a childhood marked by separation from her parents, sexual molestation, and the loss of her mother, father, and grandmother — the woman who raised her from the age of two. Her journey wound through rejection, lack, failed relationships, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and seasons of backsliding. Yet, in the depths of her pain, the Lord whispered that her story wasn’t over — that her true assignment had not yet begun.
Saved at age 11 and active in ministry as a young girl, Nessy now, at 36, carries the weight and wisdom of a long walk with Jesus. Emerge – Power Inside was born from a Holy Spirit prompting early in 2024, and within just two months, she was a published author. The book invites readers to confront their wounds, rediscover their identity in Christ, and awaken to the inner power God placed within them.
The title mirrors the slogan of her faith-based organisation Emerge for Purpose, founded in 2020 to create safe spaces for healing, self-discovery, and purpose clarity. Through Woman Emerge Forums and Emerge Talk Shows, Nessy continues to witness lives transformed by the power of testimony and the presence of God.
