Coping with the Identity crisis

What causes an Identity Crisis? An identity crisis is a developmental event that involves a person questioning their sense of self or place in the world. Identity involves beliefs, values, and memories that make up a subjective sense of self. So, a person in this state will face questions like; – Who am I – What am I passionate about – What are my spiritual beliefs – What are my values – What is my role in society or purpose of life? This book brings out the practical experiences of an identity crisis and how to cope with them, especially during serious crises and stressful moments.Sometimes, trauma and depression can make one vulnerable. Threatening situations such as: diseases and death, marriage, parenting and divorce, loneliness and addictions, failure and success can increase on the identity crisis. I want to use my story and how I have navigated the storms in my life to overcome the identity crisis and how I have found peace with myself, family, friends and above all discovering God the almighty creator who guides us to live a purposeful life. I am confident that my book will touch many people and help them find solutions to their endless unanswered questions and above all be able to live a purposeful life.

I treasure all the opportunities the Almighty God has offered to me. A chance to meet you at our family gathering 2024; from here I started feeling like I somewhat know myself now. For the last 35 years I have been wondering on who I am!
Identity crisis is real; I had children who I couldn’t tell them what their tribe is. It’s too sad but I am too happy to have met you and I plan to be more closure to you. I received this book in my hands and saw a picture of our great great grandfather. A picture I never dreamed of seeing, BUARA was and is a great individual in Pray for.

Thank you for this encouragement and for family centric patriotic energy you are making.
May God Bless you đź«‚

Ameria your journey is an inspiration to me. The fact that even as a child, you did your best to be a Bridge between two worlds, while still unsure of where you belonged. How you made friends so easily and worked so hard to have a better life. Your book tells of the grit, determination, and strength you hold inside, yet when someone meets you they see a petite, fragile looking lady, pretty as the flowers you grow with so much passion! Congrats on writing your story!

Dealing with identity crisis is something I can relate with. I faced discrimination on a different level because of my body weight. It caused me shyness almost causing me loss of self esteem. Momo on her book faced it squarely and has encouraged me to encourage others.

Momo Masiko’s book encapsulates the story of a truly inspirational lived experience in resilience, integrity and a long term commitment to using her personal journeys through life to guide, support and uplift many others in dealing with the seeming unending self doubts in our experiences of personal identity crisis. This book should serve as a real guide towards self guidance, healing and growth.

COPING WITH THE IDENTITY CRISIS is an eye-opening experience which I found fascinating as I “walked” beside Momo, navigating the “thorns” of self doubt, self examination, and eventual self discovery, emerging triumphant to find beauty, purpose, and mindful living.
CONGRATULATIONS MOMO!!

Ameria’s book is a moving story that resonates well with and empowers those who feel marginalized and desperate. It provides good examples of why we should never give up on our dreams despite the enormous difficult situations we encounter in life. Indeed, we are not alone, for the Lord is always there to answer our prayers and guide us through our problems.

Hello there. I would like to recommend Amelia Masiko for writing the book Identity crisis. I believe everyone faces these situations once or more times in their life time. It is at this moment that the questions like who am I? Become very important. Identity crisi is faced in different ways by everyone. So this book unravels herlife story and how she managed to overcome this crisis with determination and resilience. It is worth reading and an award for her is necessary to expose and teach those who do not know how to handle identity crises when they come.

As a member from a multirace background, it’s been a difficult time to deal with our identify especially to fit among the luos in the North, they gave us names, like the misplaced tribe, Arabs, blood suckers of Uganda’s economy.Fortunately, the Copying with Identity crisis book by Momo came with all the solutions to deal with the trauma about the family background. Surely, no one applied to be born from his or her family but it’s God’s plan. Thanks Momo for the one doze in your book

This book is a true testament to Aunt Momo’s resilience and journey of self discovery. In this book, she bares her soul and shares with us what it takes to embrace one’s true identity. We have all been in a place where we have had to conform to our surroundings and that has led to us not living up to our potential and purpose. Thank you Aunt Momo for sharing your truly inspiring story!

Momo is the true definition of not judging a book by it’s cover. Having known her to be a strong, confident resourceful woman, I could not reconcile all this with her title “Coping with Identity Crisis”. However, having read the book, I am more than ever convinced that the resilience and tenacity with which she faced every challenge and dirty card she was dealt is what defines the strong woman I know. I recommend this book to everyone who has ever felt the imposter syndrome… You will learn from Momo that even if your doubts were well founded (like hers were) you can rise above them and thrive. Well done Momo!
