Brokenness to Belonging: Christine Semugooma Mwogeza’s Story of Grace and Restoration

I am Christine Semugooma Mwogeza.
I am a child of God, married, and a mother to 3 children. A work-at-home mom; devoted the last 6-7 years to raising my babies. I run a budding business called Accent Interiors; we make bespoke mirrors, wall art, and consoles.

Together with my husband, we serve as deacons to our local church and host various fellowships like children’s cells, married’ cells, and Wednesday cells.

I also run a charity called Movement of Mercy (MOM) where we collect useable clothes and related items like beddings, beds, etc for needy pregnant mothers and twice a year distribute them to identified needy pregnant women/teens to make their journey a little easier.

My Writing Journey
Backdrop: I lost my dad at age 7 and grew up with a lot of daddy-girl insecurities. I was timid and had all these walls around me. I resented God and would not even say the Lord’s prayer…”Our Father…” My walls were thick and high.
At 13, I gave my life to Christ but still had deep-seated father issues, and at about age 17, I mused the idea of one day writing a book or blog called In-Security with a two-fold meaning. Insecurity describing the anxieties and lack of confidence I faced and In Security- describing the secure place I had found in Christ.

So, when I joined the School of Leadership (Worship Harvest Institute) in 2023, and we had to write a book, I knew the time had come.
In-Security is my story about navigating my daddy and heavenly Father issues and finding my true identity in Christ. I have found that in Him I live, and move and have my being.

It’s a call to other broken girls, hiding under titles, work, broken ladies with broken little girls inside of them to draw to the Father’s heart of God regardless of how deep your pain is.
