YES LORD, by Faith Mathenge, is not for the faint of heart. In it I found both the excitement of giving one’s life to Christ because of the great sacrifice he made on our behalf, but on the heels of that sacrifice that justified us and paved the way that would lead us back to God, was the call for us to draw near to a holy and righteous God. To walk intimately with the God of the universe requires us to be transformed and keep being transformed into His image which is as exciting as it is terrifying. In this book I am further challenged with the fact that as the Good Leader, Jesus always calls us to walk in the very path He walked. So if He died to self, which He did, He only did it as an example for us to follow. We all like to be like Jesus in the healing and miracles he performed but are we willing to live the sanctified life that He lived? In writing this book, Faith has challenged me to continuously work out my salvation. Salvation is not a one time yes job but an every day yes job to the one who showed us the way it is done. It is easy until it is not. In fact it’s like waking up every day and walking yourself to the altar and laying there without giving into the temptation to jump off of it when the heat increases in degree. The good thing is that God, and relationship with Him is reward enough. Yes indeed I never want to think of life without Jesus in my life. So I will keep saying Yes to the Lord because indeed He is worth it.
Reconciliation is good, Sanctification is even better because then we get to continuously become more like our King and Savior.
The life examples given in this book have left a lasting impression on the tablet of my heart. It is one thing to read the examples in the scriptures, examples in not so a distance of time however show us how this is still possible for example for Jesus to look through our eyes. I believe this is what the world needs.
I also love the fact that everything Faith writes is backed by scripture and the scriptures in reference are rich and direct and once you have seen it you cannot unsee it.

Truly it is a great book
I highly recommend faith’s book “faith is now”. When she came to ICC buburu for the book launch, I was one of the attendees. I obtained a copy and read through. The book is a great source of encouragement especially for Christians going through a rough patch. The book helped me gain the courage to face challenges we face as Christians and through these challenges discover the hand of God carrying us through the storms of life and bring to place of rest. This is what this book did for me!

Yes Lord is such an inspiring book that connects one to the Lord and challenges one to stay in step with the Spirit and do things as the spirit leads and guides. I would recommend the book for spiritual growth and step by step guide by the Lord.
