Feature: Alison Kiriinya – Tuning Hearts and Sharpening Words

In a world filled with noise, some people have the rare gift of bringing both harmony and clarity. Alison Kiriinya is one of those people. A gifted music tutor, meticulous editor, and passionate blogger, Alison lives at the intersection of sound and story—shaping minds through melody and moulding meaning through words.
By day, Alison is a peripatetic music tutor, travelling between schools and communities to introduce children to the beauty of rhythm, song, and creative expression. Through every lesson, she teaches more than just music—she teaches attentiveness, discipline, and joy. Her work echoes her belief that learning should be deeply human, deeply transformative.
Yet, Alison’s passion doesn’t stop at melody. She is also a proofreader and editor helping Christian authors refine their manuscripts with precision and grace. For Alison, the written word is not just a vehicle for communication—it is a storehouse of knowledge. She believes that both children and adults should regularly draw from the deep wells of wisdom hidden in books, especially those rooted in faith and truth.
Her love affair with words began early. Exposed to books at a young age, Alison developed a deep affection for storytelling and language. Over time, this grew into a calling—to help others find their voice, polish their message, and share their stories with the world.
She is also the voice behind the reflective blog The Relationship Mirror https://www.therelationshipmirror.com/, where she explores faith, relationships, emotional health, and spiritual growth with depth and honesty. Her writing gently challenges readers to look inward and upward, drawing them closer to the heart of God.
Since joining the African Christian Authors Book Award – ACABA Judging Panel in 2022, Alison has brought her editor’s eye and educator’s heart to every manuscript. Her feedback is always thoughtful, clear, and redemptive—helping authors not only correct errors but connect more deeply with their readers. She reads not just with her eyes but with her spirit—listening for truth, beauty, and clarity in every page.
Whether through playing a piano or tightening a paragraph, Alison Kiriinya is building a culture of excellence in African Christian literature—one note, one word, one soul at a time.
To Alison, we say thank you. For serving quietly but faithfully. For showing us the power of thoughtful reading and reflective living. And for reminding us that when faith, words, and creativity come together—something eternal is born.
Africa hears your melody. ACABA feels your impact. And we at CLC Christian Literature Communications – CLC Kenya are deeply grateful.
