I am Mabel Marcelene Masigale from Zimbabwe — an administrator by profession, Certified Public Speaker, Professional Certified Life Coach, horticultural farmer, and Mental Health Advocate. Naturally nurturing, I count it a gift from God to connect with people in ways that leave a lasting, positive impact.
In the body of Christ, I serve as a Teacher of the Word in the main church, while also ministering to children as a Sunday School Teacher. I am deeply passionate about the teaching ministry — because sometimes, people don’t do better simply because they don’t know better. My mission is to help close that gap.
My Writing Journey
I’ve enjoyed writing since high school, often journaling reflections and ideas. But it wasn’t until 2022 that I began the journey of my first book, Healing or Hiding? Over two years of prayer, study, and careful crafting, I completed and published it in December 2024.
Though the process was financially demanding — fully self-funded — the satisfaction of completing this work for the Lord far outweighed the sacrifice.
The Heart of the Book
Healing or Hiding? is more than a book — it’s both a conversation and a journey. Inspired by the reality of how essential healing is in the body of Christ and the world at large, it addresses a question many avoid: Are we truly healing, or simply hiding our pain?
Psalm 107:20 reminds us:
“He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave.”
Throughout Scripture, healing is a central theme. Yet in many Christian spaces, pain is masked due to fear of criticism or appearing “weak.” I’ve observed two common responses to pain — facing it to heal, or avoiding it altogether. But pain that goes unacknowledged and untreated can manifest in destructive ways.
Jesus treated healing as essential, tending to the sick even in places where He performed no miracles. Likewise, our wounds — emotional, relational, and mental — often require intentional care. Not everything can be “prayed away.”
Blending biblical truth with psychological insight, Healing or Hiding? explores hidden emotional pain, mental health, relationships, grief, and various forms of trauma. Its goal is to raise awareness and guide readers toward genuine healing, where both faith and wisdom work together.
