I am Prof. Patrick Mncedisi Diniso, born in East London, South Africa. I am blessed to walk this life with my wife, Nokwanda Somzana Diniso, and together we are parents to four children: Loyiso, Vuyisa, Sivuyile, and Onako.
Academically, I hold a PhD in Theology from the University of Fort Hare, South Africa, where I specialized in child bereavement counseling. I am also a qualified Pastoral Counsellor, trained in trauma and marriage counseling, and registered with SAQA. Today, I serve as Principal of Gatyana Bible College, South Africa, and as the National Deputy Director of MZU and ZMI in collaboration with Hebron University in Malawi.
My journey in writing was birthed from both personal conviction and divine prompting. For years, I observed a painful gap within the black church — particularly among Xhosa Christian families. When bereavement strikes, children are often overlooked, left to carry their grief alone because parents simply do not know how to support them. This burden gave birth to my first book, Equipping Xhosa Christian Parents to Journey with Their Bereaved Children — a guide to help parents walk alongside their grieving children with understanding and compassion.
Since then, God has enabled me to write more books that address real struggles of our time:
A Post-Covid South Africa: Living with Scars – A Journey of the Healing of Memories
Equipping Xhosa Christian Parents to Journey with Their Bereaved Children
Overcoming Low Self-Esteem: A Journey of Self-Discovery
Interestingly, I never thought I had the gift of writing until I attended a couple’s conference. There, I met a facilitator who was also a Christian author. God used that encounter to speak to me about writing. Later, after reading Sipokazi Somzana’s first book, I was encouraged — realizing that this calling was indeed possible for me too.
Today, I write as a servant of God, called to bring healing through words — equipping parents, guiding children, and restoring broken identities in Christ.
