Musiime Michelle Melissa is a born again Christian, poetess, published Author, and enthusiast for all things creative.
She published her first poetry collection “Bring My Flowers to Nirvana” in 2021 and has since then launched a creatives platform known as IBUMBA KREATIVES that supports create ves with tools and exposure to put their talents to good use.
She loves God with all her heart and mind and expresses the same love for her family . She continues to receive poetry and write it with the hope that she can inspire more youth to do the same.
Musiime Michelle was born and raised in Uganda where she lives with her family.

We live in a world where it’s so hard to be still. Economically, politically, spiritually, we go through storms that we wish could just quiet down. “BE STILL” There’s room for growth is an anthology that reminds us that growth doesn’t start when we decide it should; it’s a process we’ve all been subjected to since birth. The poems are broken into chapters that unveil how evolution is from ancestry, our time as adolescents, and constant day to day self discovery. Let this poetry collection give you comfort in knowing that you’re entering a new level in every stage of your life. Let this be your hope to know that there’s beauty in your mistakes, your epiphanies, your failures and your successes. There’s room growth.

I’m not a huge poetry fan, but ‘Be Still’ provides a firm case for the necessity of poetry. Michelle fashions a jarring message from what I imagine is her life story and distills it into discrete poems. These poems independently speak of significant lessons that aim to inspire and give hope, all while maintaining a through line that weaves the entire anthology together. Excellent, to say the least. I’m looking forward to reading more poetry.

XD, God’s my witness I made annotations to the pages(uhm, having bought the paper, the words well those i received, heard, saw… XD)—living words these, yes, here still, watered you can rest assured these blooms.

In a world where we equate speed and busyness to value, “Be Still” is a reminder that as Christians, we are called to rest. A cultural intuitive invitation to find our ultimate peace in the arms of a loving Father, the life of a wonderful saviour and to trust in God’s Spirit as we walk through these times that make us anxious.
Every poem in the book draws from Michelle’s journey with Christ, and she calls us to a Christ-like posture of meekness and surrender as we let God work through the pain, brokenness, mistakes and seeming failures, so that we may grow to look like Christ and shine His light in the world.
Every believer who wrestles with anxiety of overperforming and can’t get their racing heart and raging thoughts to quiet down, no matter the gender or stage in life, needs to read these poems; they will see themselves in the verses and find encouragement to lean into the grace of God. I have learnt that not just from the book, but from Michelle herself. Her life, her words and her writing point to the strength she found in Christ as she chose to Be Still.
