“Impacting lives with Christian literature”

Hope Unbowed

Hope unbowed is a testimony of God’s unwavering mercy, grace and victory after more than a decade of waiting for the fruit of the womb.

My husband and I got into marriage at 25 years and 23 years of age respectively soon after our graduation from the University of Nairobi. Like most young couples, we expected that children would easily come as soon as we were ready to have them. It therefore came as a surprise, then shock; followed by all other associated motions of turmoil as a result of negative pregnancy test after another, as years went by.

We eventually grew to a point of full surrender to God in full assurance that He alone is the author and giver of life, and the truth that every good and every perfect gift comes from Him. Sustained by His grace, we soldiered on, remaining true to His calling as Pastors in a local congregation, besides other ministry involvement mostly in the prayer movement, alongside our market place assignments.

In our 12th year of marriage, we welcomed our first baby. 27 years down the line in our walk in marriage, we are privileged and honored to be parents of 4 adorable children aged 15 years, 13 years and a set of twins aged 6 years.

In the pages of this book, I share many precious lessons based on faith in God, which carried us through our season of waiting. I pray that the testimony contained in this book will bring healing to a wounded soul, encouragement to one who is discouraged, and hope for one that is hopeless.

Congratulations Rev. Nancy Mwabili, on your nomination for the 2025 African Christian Authors Book Award Gala.
You are truly an icon of grace and honour—an inspiring testimony of “Hope Unbowed.” Through your journey, we witness a steadfast walk with God, anchored in unshakable faith. You stand not only as a devoted Christian but also as a visible leader from whom many draw strength, hope, and inspiration. Your remarkable story of proven faith continues to uplift countless hearts.
As a wife, mother, and Christian leader in today’s world, your written testimony imparts profound lessons on faith, love, and trusting God in and out of season. You have shown that the journey of faith is an eternal marathon—enduring, evolving, and grounded in perseverance, and not a mere sprint. This is a Kingdom-centric epistle, one that ushers the Church into a resilient and relentless expression of a practical, livable Christian faith.
Once again, bravo! May God continue to keep you, uphold you, and use your life for His glory and majesty.

Congratulations Rev. Nancy Mwabili on the nomination of Hope Unbowed for the 2025 Africa Christian Authors Book Award in the Marriage Category. I am deeply moved by this powerful and faith-filled journey. Hope Unbowed is a beautifully honest testimony of love, resilience, and unwavering trust in God. Through the vulnerability of an eleven-year wait for children, the book shines a bright light on what it truly means to walk together in marriage while supporting one another through emotional pain, societal pressure, and the challenging silence of delayed answers. This tender and transformative narrative restores dignity to couples navigating long seasons of waiting and unspoken marital challenges. Rev. Nancy writes with remarkable authenticity, grace, and wisdom, offering hope to marriages wrestling with delayed promises, and her words carry healing, instruction, and profound inspiration. Hope Unbowed is a significant contribution to Christian marriage literature, rich in Scripture, emotionally honest, and spiritually grounding, and Rev. Nancy reminds us that love anchored in God can withstand any trial and that hope, when held unbowed, ultimately triumphs. This impactful work will continue to touch, encourage, and transform lives for years to come, and I highly recommend it to couples, church leaders, counselors, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of faith, marriage, and God’s redemptive timing. Congratulations once again to Rev. Nancy Mwabili and the entire family.

A very uplifting book. It acknowledges that hard seasons are real, you won’t always be okay, and that’s not a personal failure.
It encourages one to keep a positive outlook of life, even in tough seasons, and to lean on God and trust His promises.
It’s the kind of message that continues to resonate long after you close the final page.

Thank you so very much Rev. Nancy for this great life-changing masterpiece.

Under A Personal Choice in page 102:

It states, At the end of it all, whatever choice a couple opts for, it is imperative to be aware that their life may continue to remain under scrutiny by others for a long time to come.

It is also highly likely that community and some of a couple’s existing friends may struggle to embrace their choice to parenting, or to get past their journey of being childless.

Sensitization of those with prejudices, by setting the necessary personal boundaries while exercising empathy, becomes a skill you as aspiring parents need to acquire.

It is possible, with the right precautions in place, to safeguard you and your family from societal shortcomings and forth ignorance and bias. Stigmatization, when left unaddressed, can take root in generations to come, even to the youth.

Therefore, take all precautions available to ensure that you live fulfilled lives that are free of intolerance of other’s drawbacks.

Keep soaring Rev. Nancy, for things can only get better.

This is a very inspiring book that really reflects on waiting, grace and restoration. It really resonates with anyone going through a long and tough season.
It shows that waiting is not denial that God works behind the scenes even when nothing seems to change. The silence does not mean God is absent.
It talks about the grace of God which is the only thing that sustains because the human strength may fail.
lt does not matter the years you’ve waited He is faithful to restore you just be patient.
What a lovely and encouraging book it is!!

Reading Hope Unbound touched me deeply. It tells the story of a couple who chose to believe God even when nothing seemed to be happening for twelve long years. Their faith, patience, and love for each other were truly inspiring.

What moved me most was how real their journey felt—the tears, the silent prayers, and the moments when giving up might have seemed easier. Yet they held on, trusting that God hadn’t forgotten them. When the breakthrough finally came and God blessed them with four beautiful children, I couldn’t help but tear up. It was a powerful reminder that God’s promises may take time, but they never fail.

This book renewed my hope and reminded me that delays are not denials. It encouraged me to keep trusting God even when the wait feels endless. Hope Unbound isn’t just a story—it’s a testimony of faith, love, and divine faithfulness.

I truly believe anyone who reads it will be encouraged to keep believing, no matter how long the wait.

⭐ 5/5 — A beautiful, faith-filled journey that reignites hope in the heart.

Your testimony is so inspiring and a life changing especially for people waiting upon God for the fruits of their womb. It’s real and moving testimony.
Your testimony motivated me to also put together what God has done in my life after waiting for several years before getting the fruits of my womb.
When I listened to your testimony; I realized that I was sitting on a life changing miracle that God has done for me and my husband. If I had not listened to your testimony I wouldn’t have started putting together what God has done for me.
For sure you touched my life even though I have never seen you physically but your testimony has met me and changed me in a bigger way.

Hope Unbowed by Nancy Mwabili is a story of resilience in the midst of waiting on God for children,a need so close to her heart .
Nancy shares her 12-year journey through childlessness, the emotional turmoil, and the quiet strength found in trusting God’s timing. Her story is raw and real — filled with tears, prayers, and ultimately triumph for matters that mostly go unspoken in our society.

I love how she shares her story with honesty without sugarcoating the pain even as her faith remains unshaken. This book isn’t just about waiting for children — it’s about holding on to hope and trusting in Gods perfect timing as the best .

If you’ve ever felt unseen, forgotten, or stuck in the “in-between,” Hope Unbowed will remind you that God’s silence is never His absence

Hope Unbowed beautifully reintroduces the God of Abraham and Sarah—the ultimate promise keeper; the God of Hannah, who tenderly collected her tears; and the God of Elizabeth, the masterful shaper of destiny.
It is a story woven with resilience and unwavering faith, yet undeniably stained by the heartache of waiting and the uncertainty of when prayers will be answered.
The profound lesson it imparts is that God may come late, but only because He plans to answer in a way that is immeasurably Big.

One of the greatest take homes for me is that God is faithful and ever present irrespective of what circumstances we find ourselves in. The book, while centers on marriage has biblical lessons that are applicable to all areas of life where we face delays, ridicule, uncertainties and harsh judgements from people who are insensitive to our life journeys.
Surely, we can see that from the pain of many years of childlessness and waiting on the Lord has been birthed in Rev Nancy a ministry that reaches to those going through diverse challenges. With love and sensitivity one of her statements that she lives by is that “that is a soul needing love and help”.
God bless you Rev Nancy and may you continue to higher grounds with the message of hope unbound for surely where there is hope there is life!

Going through the pages of this book and just seeing some of the trying moments but yet the faith, the attitude to soldier on and not stick to the corner of self-pity which if Rev had for a minute, it would be understandable.
But not giving up and remaining in the place of assignment even though the enemy might use that as well to make one wounded and wonder if it’s all worth it.
I am encouraged to be reminded of the Faithfulness of God and that he will do it just like Lazuras case when everyone thought okay, he is dead and decaying that is when the power of God was made manifest

It is written to inspire hope, courage and faith in God.

This book also offers practical insights and a deeper understanding for those who find themselves ‘walking alongside’ others in dark seasons with no idea how or where to start.

I invite you to join me on this journey through the pages of this remarkable book.
