Petals of Emotions

Petals of Emotions is a collection of 66 Christian poems that explore three major themes: God, Love, and Country. Under the three themes, the author battles with topics such as identity, death, addictions, and citizenship from an African perspective and hopes that it elicits thoughts and conversation on what it means to be a believer in the current century.

Petals of Emotion does in fact evoke emotions through each and every poem. Some of the poems are straightforward in meaning and others require more thoughtfulness on the part of the reader. In either case, Mr. Imbiaka is an excellent writer, pulling emotion and meaning from everyday life and experiences.

I would gladly recommend Petals of Emotions to anyone who has not read it yet. It is interesting even for those who are not into poetry.
It’s three themes; God, love and country tackle issues that affect me, both as a person and as a Christian living in modern day Africa. The author tackles relevant issues in the 66 poems in such a gentle but thought provoking way. I enjoyed reading them so much. Definitely looking forward to reading a lot more Literature from Haggai. He’s a really talented author who is passionate about Young people knowing Christ for themselves.
