Praying the Word of God

Prayer is like digging to find a precious treasure, you can either get exhausted very quickly and give up or enjoy the process. What makes it a tiresome venture is not knowing how to pray about a certain season or situation in life and also not being so sure if you prayed enough. We all suffer this dilemma; well, at least I did, for a very long time. This led to a deep quest to know what really prayer is all about. As we embark on this journey of praying as guided by the word of God, the Holy scriptures will teach us why we pray, what to pray for,how to pray and all there is to know about this praying business.

40 Days of Praying The Word: Devotional

The Holy Scriptures provide valuable insights on how to pray, and you may find it helpful to read the book Praying the Word of God by Patrick Solomon to gain a deeper understanding of why we pray.

Offering so much wisdom and guidance for all the seasons of life, Scripture is a believer’s weapon. By trusting in God’s promises and claiming them, you will see a major difference in your prayer life. This devotional book aims at making prayer enjoyable.

God is not human, and when He speaks, He always acts and fulfils His promises (Numbers 23:19). Therefore, engage with Him using His Word, whether individually or as a group, and may His true and living Word manifest in your life in all seasons. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

Welcome to the Book Launch

“Impacting lives with Christian literature”

What inspired you to write this book?

Growing up as a Catholic, we had a particular way of praying. When I later gave my life to Christ, I found it challenging to pray in a more personal and scriptural way. During that season, the Holy Spirit began teaching me how to pray using God’s Word. As I discovered the power of Scripture-based prayer, I could not keep it to myself. This book was birthed out of that journey and a desire to share with others what the Lord taught me.

Who do you believe will benefit from this book, and what impact do you hope it will have?

First, I believe prayer is a key spiritual discipline. When people pray and pray the Word of God, the Kingdom of God is manifested because the Word becomes alive in their lives.

Second, when we declare God’s Word, heaven becomes active on our behalf. One of God’s attributes is faithfulness. He is faithful to His Word, and these devotions are designed to help believers stand on His promises and experience His faithfulness.

Third, these devotions are built on God’s covenant promises. What God has spoken in His Word carries power when confessed and believed. Surely, we can no longer pray, “May Your will be done,” when His will has already been revealed in Scripture. His will is in His Word.

Was there a chapter or section that was particularly difficult or meaningful for you to write?

Difficult? No. Meaningful? Absolutely.

These devotions serve as a foundation for my book, Praying the Word of God. In fact, I encourage readers to get both books in order to fully benefit from the teachings and practical application they offer.

While writing these books, I was in a season of learning and spiritual growth. I continually asked my prayer circle and fellowship groups to pray for me throughout the process. As a result, what I wrote was written prayerfully and under God’s guidance. Rather than challenges, I experienced many testimonies along the way. It remains one of the easiest and most rewarding writing projects I have undertaken.

How did writing this book change you personally, whether in ministry, mindset, or faith?

From a ministry perspective, I am a Bible study teacher, and there is great joy in seeing people testify about answered prayers as a result of praying God’s Word. Witnessing lives transformed through Scripture-based prayer has been deeply fulfilling.

In terms of mindset, this journey strengthened my conviction that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The Word of God makes this possible. Writing these materials deepened my faith and reinforced my confidence in the power and authority of Scripture.

Why should someone read this book at this season of their life?

The answer is simple: if you want to change your life, pray. If you want to experience open heavens, declare God’s Word.

These materials are designed to help believers do exactly that. They provide practical guidance for praying Scripture, standing on God’s promises, and experiencing His faithfulness in everyday life.
