My name is Patricia Cidi Malika. I am a wife and mum. I love the Lord. He is my Exceeding Joy.
Professionally, I am an Entrepreneur. I run a Vocational Training Center in Mombasa, Kenya. I am also an Entrepreneurship Facilitator with an organization called The Full Circle.
My academic background is in International Business Administration.
My Writing Journey:
The Lord gave me 2 very pronounced gifts – Writing and Speaking. Anyone who interacted with me, even as a child, could easily tell I was a natural speaker and writer.
Interestingly, this was the area in my life where I had the greatest challenge. For decades I didn’t master the courage to exercise my gifts. I grew up knowing that there wasn’t much I could do as a writer.
I remember thinking to myself more often than I would like to admit, “If only God had given me the gift of music… I could serve Him.”
My Redemption
Something happened to me when I gave birth to my daughter. I realized that I needed to become a good example for her.
I realized that if I did not serve with my gifts and grow in my skill, I would not have the moral authority to ask her to serve with her God given gifts.
I chose to model for my daughter what Good and Faithful Service is.
My Books:
I am passionate about Family and Entrepreneurship. My God sized dream is to help mothers (and their families) thrive in faith, family and finances.
My first book was titled, “Welcome to Motherhood, Mummy”.
My second book (which was nominated for the ACABA Award) is titled Surrendered to Rise – Business Women Thriving in Christ .
This is a book that was designed to help women find their strength, wisdom and life in Christ – and be equipped to thrive in business and life.
Surrendered to Rise was launched in January 2025.
My third book is in progress. God willing we shall launch it in August 2025.
