EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE WITHIN MY BOOKS CIRCLE
I really had very high expectations during my book Launch. Someone was telling me if you can sell around 300 books you are good but my expectations were even higher because I was seeing a big congregation before me. I was so much disappointed when the books didn’t sell much around 70 books but I thought probably it was the timing, the launch was approaching end month.
However, God had given me a strategy to share my book in the churches that had shepherd me before.(I had fellowshipped in different churches in different towns before because of employment & related factors. I was a privileged to have 4 of my spiritual fathers, one forwarding and other three endorsing my book. And so I was so excited to share my book in their churches after the launch.
There is this one particular church that after sharing my powerful testimony and the book with a lot of breakthrough in the spiritual realm, in such a big congregation, only one book was sold.
And so I travelled home so discouraged but previously, God had spoken to me through a lady I met at the prayer mountain that God was going to handle all my concerns.
My concerns was that my book was not moving as per my expectation. When I left the prayer mountain, I did not have much money and so I decided to do…”for such as I have I give thee”. I donated 5 books to the prayer mountain and left.
After this one book encounter, God has been so gracious to me that whenever I move, my books move. I call it an extraordinary experience and I give God all the glory.
My books have now moved to 8 countries apart from Kenya my several books have gone to US, some UK, Australia, Germany, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia and today I had one to Brazil.
I am sure with the ACABA program the list will expand for God’s glory. Amen!
When God Cancels Your Book Launch: A Journey of Faith, Single Moms, and Surprising Success
One of my most extraordinary moments came with my very first book: Back On My Feet-The How-to Manual for Single Parents.
In my mind, I had grand plans—a big, glamorous book launch where the “who’s who” in the book industry would grace the occasion. I envisioned selling a million copies right out of the gate (of course, because why not start big, right?).
When I received the first copy from the publisher (CLC Kenya), I was overwhelmed with joy. Finally, my dream was becoming a reality! But just as I was about to plan my big debut, I heard the Lord quietly whisper, “No book launch. No commercial route.”
Cue disappointment.
How could I possibly lead by example if I didn’t out-sell myself? Aren’t you supposed to practice what you preach?
Instead, I felt led to make a simple announcement on social media, inviting women—especially single mothers—to join me on a journey of rediscovering themselves. No fancy balloons or confetti. Just an honest invitation.
To my surprise (and to God’s glory), the book turned into something far more than I had imagined. Over the next 1.5 years, we went through the book consistently. I ended up ministering to over 300 single moms—and even a few brave single dads—through that season.
As it turns out, the Lord was gently guiding me into the world of book programs. It was His way of preparing me to lead other authors on this path.
It just goes to show—God’s simplest wisdom is always more profound than our grandest ideas.
As an author of “Maximizing My Divine Destiny” this is my breakthrough experience;
Before I began writing my book I was in Qatar and had engaged myself attending some book seminars as I had not read many books from different authors even the devil had an idea I didn’t have the experience.
As a result,the devil told me, what I was thinking to do was just my mind and a big lia and that I wouldn’t do it…. I wasn’t discouraged with his lies but I kept pressing on.
So in 2021 around July when I came back to Kenya my home land, I began writing on my blog unfortunately the brethren I had trusted took advantage of the trust and duped me several times making myself spend a good fortune on the blogs/ websites four times.
So come September 2021 amidst writing three to four pages daily, I began writing my book along side. After five months marathon writing the book was completed. About the book cover, name, color and theme I received it through the dream of the night, wrote it down and when I woke up in the morning, it was still fresh in my mind as though I had the dream just then…
Unfortunately, when I was to start doing the first editing myself, the manuscript disappeared from my laptop. I searched everywhere and it could not be found
I had to seek help from a friend whom also searched everywhere unsuccessful. Therefore the friend had to take it to another friend of his in town who found it to be a virus. Meaning my manuscript became a threat to my laptop. Mack you, while all this were happening, I had no clue how the book was written. I couldn’t explain or tress as I was doing it along other writings….
Thanks be to God as it was only through God’s breakthrough and intervention that the book Maximizing My Divine Destiny came to be.
