I am Onthatile Present, A Christian and a master’s piece of God.
My writing journey started when I was still in school doing my first qualification. As a student during that phase of my life I used to have a lot of time in my hands, so I would go about reading different books and I found myself enjoying most of the books I’ve read.
At first it started of as a challenge when I wrote my first book {Mr Brown Eyes, The Love that found me}, as it’s good to always challenge yourself out of your comfort zone, but over time it became more than just a challenge, it turned into something that I really enjoy like passion for writing.
I found myself drawing inspiration from both African and international literature and that’s when I realized that there is more to me. There is more writing that needs to be birthed out of me, that’s when I wrote two more books {Johnny and the Cows} for children in 2024 and recently the beginning of this year January published another children’s book {Sandile’s Big Truck Adventure}.
This year has been a turning point for me, where God has been calling me seriously into Ministry and I was avoiding it years before because I was more focused on building my career, getting my qualifications in Logistics and building myself there, but God came through strongly and said I’m calling you to do my work for I have separated you for this mission and sometimes I would ask myself how would I do this. But everyday it’s been a learning curve where I get closer to him and learn so much more from him and currently my goal is to write more of him, And been part of the African Christian Authors Awards it’s really an inspiration as I get to see so many Christians doing the Lord’s work and to me that is a reminder that I have called you for this work, not just into writing but into more and bigger things.
