Although Writing Was Not Prof. Miriam’s Default, Today She Has Written Extensively

I got saved at the age of 9 years through the East Africa revival. As a result i attended many church meetings and conference. As I grow up, the search for the real understanding of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, salvation, prayer and such topics intensified.

I gathered a lot of information and literature as things unfolded. By the age of 20, I had note books and pieces here and there. Writing just became a hobby by default jotting down whatever other new information i came across. I began to influence many through the confidence to share the word of God to individuals and groups. Formalizing my discoveries did not cross my mind at all. Later, I got an invitation to speak at conferences and also perfected my content during bible study groups such as church, home cell group etc.

It is after I got married and got children that I realized that my time for going to conferences and attending meetings other than International engagements which came once in a while, was limited. Since I had gathered so much already, I started writing articles on prayer an area I had a passion for. Very inspiring teachings that transformed lives. It is the individual topics put together that formed my first book, “A glimpse of God ‘s presence”; in this book, prayer concepts, principles and practical examples are explicit. It has been revised and copies in the hands of many readers. Later, a revelation that there is no effective prayer without forgiveness dropped in my spirit.

I got the inspiration to write articles of between articles 10, to 20 pages labelled as article 1, 2 and 3. It is after article forgiveness 3 that someone whom i did not know or get to meet put my writing online. At that point, my husband encouraged me to convert those articles to a book which i did. My moving testimony is included in my 2nd book, “Forgiveness ” the 2 books on prayer and forgiveness have impacted lives. They have been used by individuals as well as groups as training manuals. I still receive calls from many places the books have reached.

Being a member of Scripture union opened both local and international opportunities to spreading the message. I have written many other spiritual books by the grace of God. The book on forgiveness remains the most popular book although each book has a unique experience. Writing was not by design but as the Spirit led and the need arose. Being an International faculty of Haggai Institute and also the wife of the National and continental Director of Scripture Union opened many doors for the wide spread of my books as I travel globally.

Another of my spiritual books includes a book on stewardship, on love , leadership women, and marriage etc.

My writing is not limited to spiritual growth, I have done a lot of academic work articles, journals and books. My second thesis and PhD and Doctoral dissertation have also been converted to books. My area of specialization is management leadership and economics on one hand and theology and counselling psychology on the other. Besides articles and journals, I have written many stand alone books used by students and other quarters. I have also co-authored with others. Supervising masters and PhD students has also given me the latitude to co- author their reports for international research journals.

Finally, I am grateful to ACABA for such a program that recognizes individual works and efforts made. Since I cannot mention names of those who have interested me, or recall their faces, I hope to meet them some day. My pray is for God’s blessings to be upon each one of you. Praying for all the nominees, may the Lord continue to use you to impact and influence lives.

I thank God that through the writing and academic involvement, I was promoted to be a professor to the glory of God.
