My name is EMILY Bagarukayo Ngabirano. Am married to Eng Paul Ngabirano and we are blessed with 4 children Emma (19) Kiara(15) Tiana (13) and Eli (3.5)
I am a location pastor at Worship Harvest Misindye and a Senior lecturer at Makerere University in the college of computing and information sciences
My writing journey started in 2020 when I did the school of leadership course at harvest institute. One of the requirements is that you publish a book. And there I was with this challenge. I had been an author of academic papers since 2007. So this was the first time I had an opportunity to write and publish non academic material
I had lost my dad on March 8th 2019 and I was still in the process of mourning and healing. I couldn’t think of any other topic other than writing about my dad’s story. I got to researching from his siblings, peers, and workmates etc to get all the details about his life in addition to my own account of him. So I published my first book LEGACY: A tribute to E. K. Bagarukayo in 2020 where I talk about his life and how we as a family experienced a loving father. The process of writing this book gave me closure and total healing coz I poured out my heart and cried all the tears I could ever cry
So come 2024 I enrolled again for the school of leadership and ministry course at Harvest institute and there was another assignment about writing a book. I scratched my head for topics and also consulted the Holy Spirit.
He guided me to write about my journey of spiritual transformation. With the guidance of my editor we had a call about writing and gathered a few tips from her. She gave us a 21 day challenge of writing 500-1000 words per day and this helped me a lot. After this period my draft was ready.
As I typed away the Holy Spirit kept giving me ideas and behold my second book was born. It is titled ‘*Party girl to Church girl; A transformational memoir of spiritual renewal
In”Party Girl to Church Girl,”I share the intriguing seasons of my journey to becoming spiritually grounded. I share how I was raised with a strong foundation of faith. At a tender age,I gave my life to Christ. However, along the way, I veered of the path into a life of partying. I share the tumultuous life i led, filled with several ups and downs amidst faith struggles.
By the grace of God, a divine helper led me back to my foundations in the Lord. I narate how rediscovering the love of God and reconnecting with Jesus has led me to serve God today, and how I have found purpose and significance. I share testimonies and miracles God has done in my life and family, alongside ten key lesons I have learned in over a decade at Worship Harvest. I invite the readers on a journey to the Great Commision that the Lord Jesus called us to.
