Gideon Nyakiongora
I am now 75yrs old.I graduated from the University of Nairobi in 1974 with a BA (Honours) degree in Economics and Literature and worked in the Income Tax Department and thereafter at the Kenya Revenue Authority between 1974 and 2006.I was a trained Assessor of taxes, an accountant and a tax administrator both locally and abroad. After retirement I decided to pursue my original interest of writing and journalism. I was editor in chief of a school magazine called ‘Getembe’ Kisii High School Journal from 1968 to 1970.So I started writing and established my own publishing co called Gideon Wisdom Publishers. I have authored, published and translated my own books numbering 12 books in all.That is what I do.I am a born again Christian and a member of Nyali Baptist Church in Mombasa. That’s my brief bio.

THE LOST BOY
The book is essentially about the place of the boy child in society. I was triggered into writing this book by a friend called Wahome (now deceased) who wanted to know what I was doing after retirement from public service after 33 years. When I told him I was writing books , he gave me a topic on which to write on ‘ The Lost Boy’.I put the piece of paper in my diary in which the topic was written. After seven years I took up the challenge I had been and came up with this book ‘The Lost Boy ‘It’s about the Godgiven leadership of man and boy from creation yet the boy is not aware of the responsibility that has been bestowed upon him. I have used the story of another boy lost in the moral decadence of nations who was in drugs and liquor dens who ended up in prison but later came to his senses and was saved and freed.
