My name is Paps Wanyugi, I’m a Confidence Coach and Psychologist by profession – working with Pre/Teens and Women.
My coaching niche is Purpose Clarity, Emotional Healing and Unapologetic Confidence.
We also run Marriage and Parenting programmes with my husband dubbed The Naked Couple – Naked and Not Ashamed.
My writing journey started when I launched my Women’s coaching programme in 2016 – Woman Arise- The programme had 8 weekly session, then we’d go for a two day retreat and cover 6 more sessions.
After running the programme for a while, my colleagues realized that in every season I had a new perspective on the session slides and they encouraged me to start documenting all the fresh insights I had as I prepared the sessions. I also started researching more, writing on my experiences related to the chapters and within 6 months, the Re-confidence – Get Your BOLD BACK came to life.
Re-Confidence has 15 chapters in 3 sections (Purpose Bold, Self Bold and God Bold)
My second book Leading Generations will be launched on 6th May. This book is a 20 year journey mentoring preteens and teens. The journey was inspired by my own experience as a suicidal teenager battling despair, hopelessness but still a popular girl in school.
When I cleared high school and college, I joined a group that was doing outreach in schools and that’s where my passion started in 2006.
This book is based on a survey I did in 2016 in 5 schools, engaging over 600 pre/teens and covers 23 global pre/teens issues including LGBTQ, Mental Issues, Family Disruptions and Career struggles. It addresses Myths, Causes, Facts, Effects and Bold Moves parents/mentors can take in journeying with pre/teens.
