I never thought or saw myself ever writing a book; I did not believe my life journey was even worth putting into words for people to read. However, God rich in his mercy knew this journey was deeper than just my own insecurities and pride; His glory supersedes all that we could ever place in front of him as a reason of why we shouldn’t be used.
Thus, this journey to ‘Becoming’ led me on a path of seeing the hand of God in my life in ways I had missed as I began writing. The Holy spirit began to recount the reasons I went through what I went through as a young, middle aged, and now adult woman.
‘Becoming’ is a ongoing process, but before the process begins surrender is required to take the 1st step followed by courage and empathy to sustain you through the journey.
Courage to embrace the messy and unknown parts of the journey and empathy to realize that it’s okay not to be okay.
In that space of total surrender and acceptance of ‘not my will but your will be done’, flourishing (becoming) begins to take place as you now step into the purpose God created you for!
This season has been fruitful and I am blessed to see the impact this book has had on many across the globe!
My creative team during the promotion process was wonderful! I grant the success to the guidance of the Holy Spirit from choosing the color schematics of my branding to the cover of the book. We all were in tune with that and my publisher was also well versed in marketing strategies and that was major win.
Now for the book cover….
I had a vision of this huge throne as I knew God wanted me to focus on the ‘SEATED in majesty’ aspect of becoming but man oh man we need to be careful when we try to elevate ourselves above God’s purposes and vision! Needless to say, the attire that I wanted for the book cover was delayed and I had to improvise QUICKLY!
I believe this isn’t the end and just the beginning of new ways and opportunities to share God’s goodness around the world through our experiences.
