Legacy Award Summary: The George Verwer Legacy Award for Program of the Year

Named after George Verwer, the founder of Operation Mobilization and a champion for innovative ministry programs, and sponsored by CLC USA, this award acknowledges the ACABA program that most effectively inspires and transforms lives. The reipient receives a Kes 50,000 Print-on-Demand (POD) Printing Contract, supporting the expansion and accessibility of program materials to further its mission.

Why the George Verwer Legacy Award?
George Verwer’s passion for innovative ministry transformed evangelism, from literature distribution to ship-based outreach, reaching millions worldwide with the hope of the Gospel. His legacy lives on through OM, which has mobilized thousands to carry Christ’s message to all corners of the world. This award recognises Verwer’s unique ability to inspire and uplift, celebrating programs that embody his heart for reaching the unreached with the transformative power of the Gospel.

The Award and Prize
The George Verwer Legacy Award for Program of the Year will be presented annually to an ACABA program that most effectively inspires and transforms lives through innovative ministry. In honour of Verwer’s mission, the recipient will receive a Kes 50,000 Print-on-Demand (POD) Printing Contract, supporting the expansion and accessibility of program materials to further its reach and impact.
