My CU Patron Changed My Life – Dennis Makau

I am a Pastor, Commercial Lawyer, Author, Public Speaker and Certified Professional Mediator. I am also a Human Rights Advocate, Purpose Discovery Aide, Nation Builder, Policy analyst, Leadership Coach, Marriage Counselor and Soul Therapist.

Born as a stammerer, in a family of 2, my early childhood life was horrible. I was despised, rejected and ridiculed by my cousins. That crushed my self-esteem, my confidence was butchered badly, I was mostly a loner.

I knew deeply within me I will never amount to be anything. I could not express myself well, I would stutter and tatter. Things changed a bit when I joined high school.  I got this class teacher who was very kind, he was doubling up as the C.U Patron. He knew my weakness he challenged me to focus on my strength that I was brilliant and nothing would stop me from being a trailblazer. He prayed, affirmed, rebuked, shielded and counseled me. In him I got assurance that I would become a pacesetter.

At some point I regained my confidence and truly it is the atmosphere you permit that determines the product you produce. In life you need a sheriff a person that calls you into order. Someone that pushes you to take that mountain of influence and become a significant voice

My writing journey is 3yrs old. I have published 2books, the latest one is titled #PASTOR AS A THERAPIST. This book is full of practical wisdom for pastors and Christian counselors. Many church leaders feel unprepared to counsel church members who are struggling with difficulties, multifaceted problems. I have been a Pastor for 10 years now.

I find solace in encouraging people to actualize their God given potential as well as fulfilling and getting to the pinnacle of their destinies.
