I began my writing journey in 2016. I had content having been a counselor, a motivational speaker and a coach for a number of years. I am also a teacher by profession. I had an issue though; I didn’t know how to turn the content into a book. However, in 2016, I felt motivated to write anyway, and writing I began.
I didn’t know anything about publishing after I finished the first draft. I approached a friend who had just finished writing his book, and asked for guidance. He took me to River Road where a pathetic looking small book was done.
This pathetic looking book which was written to pre-teens, was to remain forgotten until the end of 2018 when I was invited to attend a book launch by Kenya Faith Writer’s Network. The Kenya Faith Writer’s Network is a group of Faith Writers who had come together earlier in 2018, and this was their very first book launch. The launch was an eye opener and the very next year, I launched my first book; A Season to Grow up.
The very following year, 2020, the COVID pandemic notwithstanding saw the launch of my second book, Questions That Adolescents Ask. This is a book that seeks to answer questions that adolescents grapple with, answered from a biblical perspective by a Christian counselor.
By the grace of God, I’ll be launching my 3rd book in November 2022.
