All Is Not Lost

What happens when the life you thought was finally coming together suddenly falls apart?

Almasi knows what it means to struggle. From the painful wounds of adolescence and the crushing weight of self-doubt to procrastination, professional setbacks and seasons when even her faith feels fragile, she repeatedly finds herself standing at the edge of giving up.

Yet, each setback becomes an invitation to rise.

Through dance, work, relationships and her walk with Christ, Almasi learns to confront the invisible chains that hold her back. She discovers that self-limiting beliefs can be challenged, fear can be faced, procrastination can be overcome, and faith can be strengthened even in seasons of disappointment.

But when she loses the job she once believed was an answer to years of prayer, Almasi is forced to confront a deeper question: Can you still trust God when life does not turn out the way you expected?

All Is Not Lost is an uplifting journey of faith and personal transformation. Through Almasi’s experiences, Vivian Perose reminds us that failure is not final, disappointment is not destiny, and difficult seasons do not mean that God has abandoned us. Sometimes, what looks like the end is simply the place where God begins something new.

All is not lost. There is still hope and purpose. And above all, there is still a reason to keep going.

Welcome to the Book Launch

“Impacting lives with Christian literature”

What is the story behind this book—what moment, experience, or burden in your heart made you realise, “This book must be written”?

All Is Not Lost was inspired by a personal journey and by what I received from my colleagues through seasons of suffering, uncertainty, waiting, and prayer. There were moments when life did not make sense and when it would have been easy to lose hope. Yet, in those moments, they experienced God’s faithfulness in very real ways. As I reflected on that journey, I realised that many people are carrying silent battles and wondering whether God still sees them. I felt strongly that this testimony was not just for me. It was a message that needed to be shared to encourage others that, regardless of what they are facing today, God is not finished with their story.

Who is this book for, and what transformation do you hope readers will experience after reading it?

This book is for anyone who has ever felt broken, discouraged, forgotten, or stuck in a season of waiting. It is particularly for people who are carrying burdens but are determined to keep trusting God despite what they see around them. My desire is that readers will move from despair to hope, from fear to faith, and from simply surviving to walking confidently in their God-given purpose. Because the book includes prayer and practical teaching, I hope readers will not only be encouraged emotionally but will also grow spiritually and develop a stronger prayer life. My prayer is that they finish the book knowing that God can heal, restore, and use every experience for His glory.

Was there a specific chapter, message, or section that was especially difficult—or especially meaningful—for you to write? Why?

For me, the theme of waiting on God stood out the most. Many people celebrate the testimony, but very few talk about the process. The waiting season can be painful because you know God’s promises, but you cannot yet see the outcome. As I wrote, I was reminded that some of God’s greatest work happens while we are waiting. He develops our character, strengthens our faith, and prepares us for the purpose ahead. That lesson is very personal to me because it transformed the way I viewed difficult seasons. Instead of seeing them as delays, I began to see them as preparation.

How did writing this book change you personally—your faith, your thinking, or your journey?

Writing All Is Not Lost became a healing journey. It required me to revisit experiences that people have gone through and the pain connected to those experiences. What once looked like setbacks, I began to recognise as divine preparation. The process deepened my faith because it reminded me how faithful God has been through every season. It also strengthened my conviction that our struggles are not wasted. God can use our experiences to encourage, heal, and uplift others.

For someone watching right now who feels drawn to this message, why is this book important for them to read at this season of their life?

I would encourage them to read All Is Not Lost because the message is exactly what many people need today: hope. If you are in a season of waiting, healing, disappointment, or uncertainty, this book will remind you that your current situation is not your final destination. Through the teachings, reflections, and prayers, you will be encouraged to keep trusting God, keep praying, and keep moving forward. Your story is not over, your purpose is still intact, and God is still working behind the scenes.

A message from Dr. Muthoni Omukhango, the National Director at CLC Kenya and Head of Publishing

I am glad that fiction is becoming a tool of ministry from Africa to Africa and beyond. Vivian, as I read through your manuscript, I was struck by your desire to speak to the woman who is quietly struggling behind the smile, the professional who is questioning her abilities, the believer who loves God but is wondering why life is not unfolding as she expected, and the person who is standing at a crossroads wondering whether there is still a way forward. You have given those questions a story, a voice and a place to breathe. What I particularly appreciate about this book is that you have chosen to communicate important truths through Almasi’s experiences rather than simply presenting a list of lessons. There is room in these pages for the reader to see herself, wrestle with her own questions and, hopefully, come away with renewed courage.

I also see this book as part of a much bigger journey for you as an author. Writing a novel requires vulnerability. It requires patience, imagination and the willingness to take what is in your heart and place it on paper for other people to examine. That takes courage. You have taken that step. My prayer is that this book will find the readers who need it at the right moment. May a woman pick it up when she is discouraged and find courage. May someone who has experienced disappointment find the strength to try again. May a reader who is questioning God’s goodness be reminded that unanswered questions do not mean an absent God. And may Almasi’s journey encourage many people to believe that their own story is still being written. Vivian, thank you for trusting us with your manuscript and allowing us to walk with you through this part of your writing journey. I hope this is only the beginning of many more stories that God will place in your heart and give you the grace and courage to write. Well done Vivian. I am proud of you and honoured to be your publisher.
