“Impacting lives with Christian literature”

The Power of True Worship

What happens when worship goes beyond the walls of the church and becomes the very rhythm of our lives?

In The Power of True Worship, Rev. Esther Wairimu invites believers to rediscover worship as God intended it, not merely a song on Sunday, but a sacred lifestyle that transforms hearts, homes, and nations. Drawing deeply from Scripture and timeless Christian thought, she reveals worship as the believer’s highest calling and greatest weapon, the place where heaven meets earth, faith conquers fear, and love restores brokenness. Through rich biblical insights and practical illustrations, Rev. Wairimu explores worship as warfare, surrender, healing, and communion. Each chapter stirs the soul to a deeper intimacy with God and challenges the reader to live a life that reflects His glory daily. This is more than a book: it is a divine summons to return to the altar, to rediscover the wonder of God’s presence, and to live every moment as an offering of true worship.

Welcome to the Book Launch

“Impacting lives with Christian literature”

What was the pivotal experience, season, or spiritual burden that made you realize, “This message needs to be written and shared with the world”?

The Power of True Worship was born out of a deep desire to understand and communicate what authentic worship really means. I began to notice that many believers participate in worship without necessarily understanding its significance. We can sing songs, attend church services, lift our hands, and participate in worship activities, yet still miss the deeper reality of what it means to worship God. There was also a particular season in my own life of personal struggle and reflection that caused me to examine my understanding and practice of worship. During that season, I came to realize that worship is not simply a routine or something we do during a church service. It is a profound connection with God and an expression of our relationship with Him. That realization created a burden in my heart to share this message with others. I wanted to help believers understand that true worship goes beyond participation in an event. It involves the heart, the life, the choices, and the daily posture we have before God. That became the foundation of The Power of True Worship—an invitation for believers to move from simply participating in worship to genuinely encountering and honouring God in spirit and truth.

Who did you keep in mind as you wrote The Power of True Worship, and what specific heart transformation do you hope readers experience?

I believe this book is for anyone who desires a deeper relationship with God, but I especially had worship leaders, pastors, and believers who may feel disconnected from their spiritual practices in mind. My desire is that readers will begin to look at worship differently. I don’t want someone to simply read the book and gain more information about worship. I want them to experience a transformation in how they approach God. I want readers to move from worship as a routine to worship as a genuine relationship with God. I want them to understand that worship is not limited to singing or what happens during a church service. My prayer is that readers will begin to worship God more intentionally—in their decisions, their attitudes, their relationships, their work, their service, and in their everyday lives. Ultimately, I hope someone finishes the book and realizes, “My whole life can be an expression of worship to God.” If the book helps someone move from merely participating in worship to genuinely engaging with God in spirit and truth, then I believe it has accomplished what I desired.

As you were writing, was there a specific theme, devotion, or lesson that became especially meaningful or personal to you?

One theme that became especially meaningful to me was the understanding of worship as a lifestyle rather than an event. This theme challenged me personally because it caused me to examine what my worship looks like beyond the church service. It made me ask myself whether my everyday actions, attitudes, decisions, and relationships truly reflect the God I say I worship. Sometimes we can associate worship mainly with singing, music, or what happens when we gather together as believers. But I came to understand more deeply that true worship extends into every area of our lives. That realization became very personal for me because it challenged me to become more intentional about how I live before God every day. It reminded me that worship is not something we switch on when a worship song begins and switch off when the service ends. Worship is a lifestyle. It is a daily response to who God is. That is one of the lessons in the book that continues to challenge and encourage me in my own walk with God.

How did the process of authoring this manuscript refine your own faith, shape your perspective, and transform your personal walk with God?

Writing this book required me to examine my own worship practices very honestly. I could not write about authentic worship without allowing God to ask me whether my own life reflected the truths I was writing about. The process therefore became deeply personal. It challenged me to look beyond outward expressions of worship and to consider the condition of my heart and the way I live before God. Through the writing process, my understanding of worship became deeper and more intentional. I began to appreciate even more that worship is not simply something we do; it is a response to who God is and should influence every part of our lives. This journey also enriched my ministry. As a teacher of the Word and someone who serves through mentoring and worship, I realized that authenticity in worship must begin with my own relationship with God. The book therefore became more than a message I was preparing for other people. In many ways, God was also working on me through the message. It has led me into a more intentional and meaningful engagement with God and challenged me to live out the worship that I teach and encourage others to embrace.

For someone tuning in today who feels spiritually dry or distant, why should they pick up a copy of The Power of True Worship at this exact season of their life?

I would encourage them to read this book because perhaps this is the season when God is inviting them to rediscover what it truly means to worship Him. Maybe you have been going through the motions of your faith and have realized that something is missing. Perhaps you participate in worship but feel spiritually disconnected. Or maybe you simply desire to understand God more deeply and develop a more meaningful relationship with Him. This book is an invitation to pause and examine your worship. I would encourage you not to read it simply as another book about worship. Read it prayerfully and allow God to speak to you. Ask yourself, “What does my worship look like beyond the church service? Is my daily life an expression of worship? Am I truly engaging with God in spirit and truth?” My prayer is that as you read, you will gain a deeper understanding of authentic worship and be encouraged to make worship a lifestyle. Because ultimately, true worship is not merely what we do in a church service. It is the way our entire lives respond to God.

A message from Dr. Muthoni Omukhango, the National Director at CLC Kenya and Head of Publishing

There is something special about seeing a minister take what God has cultivated through years of service and put it into words that can travel beyond the places her voice has reached. Rev. Esther Wairimu has served God in ministry for many years, particularly through preaching, worship, and mentoring others in the ministry of song. What she carries has therefore not been formed merely through study. It has been shaped through years of serving God, leading His people, and learning what it means to remain faithful to His calling.

I especially appreciate that her journey as a worshipper has now found another expression through authorship. As songs minister, and sermons speak to congregations, so will this book beautifully remain with readers. A book can enter homes, cross borders, be revisited years later, and continue speaking to people the author may never personally meet. That is why I am delighted to see The Power of True Worship become part of Rev. Esther’s ministry legacy. My prayer is that this first book will not only preserve what God has placed in her heart but will also mark the beginning of a fruitful writing journey. Rev. Esther, it is an honour for us at CLC Kenya to walk this publishing journey with you. May God take these written words farther than you have imagined, and may every reader be pointed back to Him, the One who alone deserves all glory, honour, and worship.
