Children of God Are Led by the Spirit of God – A Little About A Lot

One of the things we should desire as Christians is to have is the eyes of the Spirit so that we are able to discern what the will of God is and this should be able to guide our decisions and plans.

For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Romans 8:14

This verse emphasises the importance of following the guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to be considered a child of God. It also implies that being a child of God is not based on external factors, but rather on one’s internal spiritual state. And we should not judge by the seeing of the eye, but rather by the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Having the eyes of the Spirit also enables us to see beyond the surface and perceive things that are not visible to the natural eye, such as spiritual battles and God’s hand at work in our lives. It is through this discernment that we can fully trust in God’s plan for us and live a life that is pleasing to Him. By developing a deeper relationship with God and spending time in prayer and meditation, we can strengthen our spiritual eyesight and become more attuned to His will. This allows us to navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and purpose, knowing that we are guided by a loving and all-knowing God. The Bible says that those who are the sons of God are led by the Holy Spirit. This means that those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and have received the Holy Spirit have a guide to lead them in their daily lives and decisions. The Holy Spirit helps believers discern right from wrong and live according to God’s will. This means that if we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, we can experience a deeper relationship with God and live a life that is pleasing to Him. However, it is important to note that following the guidance of the Holy Spirit does not guarantee a life free from challenges or hardships. Rather, it provides us with the strength and wisdom to navigate through them with faith and trust in God. Lot was not led by God. In this direction, his decision to move and live around Sodom would eventually cost him, his wife, his children and his property and all the wealth he had accumulated. On the day of destruction, his wife lost her life and his children’s character was so badly damaged that later on they would make decisions that would negatively affect generations after them. This serves as a reminder that our decisions have consequences not only for ourselves but also for those around us, and it is important to weigh the potential risks and benefits before making a move. And because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, we can rely on Him to lead and guide us towards the right decisions. The Holy Spirit also helps us to understand and apply the teachings of Jesus Christ in our daily lives, giving us wisdom and discernment to navigate through life’s challenges with grace and humility.
